Notes

A re-release of a classic artifact recorded in Bristol at my studio space in Easton in 2005. A self composed re-score of the Jean Cocteau silent surrealist film “Blood of a poet” in which I aim to emulate the films radical surreal visual aesthetic with a similarly revolutionary ambient electronic soundtrack. The edgy soundtrack is intended to echo the films dreamlike subconscious ambience. Epic cinematic Glitch reminsicent of Venice era Fennesz. Fluid and etheral, these recordings are living proof of a budding talent. An antidote those who wrongly believe that digital music lacks organic soul.

Tristan Burfield has been described by a new band a day as a modern day electro polymath. His music often incorporates lo-fi elements such as videogames, toys, junk, glitches and noise. An uncomprimising rebel, Tristan's music is a thorn in the side of the local Norwich scene, his sound refuses genre and rejects the lazy and outmoded cliches that his contemporaries seem to adorn with abandon. Tristan has played shows throughout the UK, and is becoming a regular staple on the festival circuit Bring Yourself Fest, Toiletronica, Bristol Ashton Court Festival and Cambridge Outdoo. He has brought it all together once more, all the sounds from the air and the earth in this culture, all the myths and symbols he spewed out once before and redigested for the use of his art. It doesnt matter if the poet speaks directly to an issue by its familiar labels what matters is the magic he creates in the saying of it. If he can lift the veil for one brief moment for us to see, even if we do not understand what we see, then he has proven his art. Todays pop music audience has many distractions to listen to
