Lesley Gore and Quincy Jones reunite 11 years after their last of ten hit records with a who's who of industry names and faces, many included in the group photo on the inner sleeve. The music is all grade-A, but given the collective star power here, this could and should have been a monster comeback album. Ever Since is the eleventh and final studio album released by American singer Lesley Gore, released on June 28, 2005 on Engine Company Records. Produced by Blake Morgan, it was preceded by the 1982 album The Canvas Can Do Miracles, and was her first album of new material since 1975's Love Me by Name. In addition to extensive national radio coverage and critical acclaim from The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Billboard Magazine, and other national press, three songs from Ever Since have been used in. Give It To Me Sweet Thing, listening to LOVE ME BY NAME a couple of times, I've come to the conclusion that this is her best, most cohesive and accomplished recording. There is not one dud on it, for one, but it also hangs together as an entire album, in the best sense of the word. Lesley Gore's mid-70s album release produced by Qunicy Jones is truly an overlooked masterpiece. I bought it when it first came out and loved it. Why it wasn't a huge hit, I don't know but I'm so happy to finally have it available in a well-produced CD release. Lesley's voice and delivery were always top notch. Here, most of the songs are excellent okay, a couple of mid-tempo numbers are forgettable but pleasant. Love this track. Set as current obsession. From The Album. Play album.
